This is part of a review process under the Paperwork Reduction Act. A notice was published earlier this year, allowing the public to comment on this information collection. After reviewing the feedback, NHTSA made no changes to the collection but slightly reduced the estimated time needed for it from 311 hours to 308 hours. Insurance agents should be aware of this information collection as it may impact future vehicle safety assessments and insurance policies related to driver assistance technologies.
