Rural health Share Trump Administration Announces $122 Million to Expand Healthcare Access, Workforce and Innovation Across Virginia This federal investment will help provide resources to rural health providers and expand access to care across the Commonwealth The Trump Administration announced today that a $122 million investment is being delivered to improve health outcomes for Virginians through the federal Rural Health Transformation (RHTP). These investments will expand access to care by bringing more healthcare services closer to where people live. Funding will expand remote patient monitoring, virtual care, mobile clinics, maternal care and increase community paramedics. The Trump Administration is also strengthening the healthcare workforce pipeline by creating more pathways into allied health careers, apprenticeships and earn-while-you-learn programs and delivering more credentialing opportunities in rural areas. While addressing access barriers and workforce shortages, this investment also targets innovation and better care coordination. From supporting early-stage health technology, to improving how providers share information, and coordinating care for people enrolled in both Medicare and Medicaid— this funding will help transform rural healthcare across the Commonwealth. “President Trump understands that every American deserves high-quality healthcare, no matter where they live,” said Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F.
